USC Dynamics FTC Presents: Mars Rover Sample Analysis In-Person
For students in 3rd-5th grade
To engage young learners in the thrilling world of planetary exploration with the Mars Rover Sample Analysis activity using the VEX Go robotics kit! Students will build and program a rover to simulate collecting and analyzing rocks (discs) from the surface of Mars. Through teamwork and problem solving, they'll learn the basics of robotics, coding and scientific inquiry - all while imagining themselves as space explorers on a mission to uncover the secrets of Red Planet. Its an educational adventure that sparks creativity and critical thinking! Happy exploring!!
About the team: USC Dynamics participates in the Global FIRST Robotics program and is one of five teams from the Upper St Clair High School USC Robotics Club. USC Dynamics was inspired by the cool innovations of Boston Dynamics. These driven students are ready to show off their competition robot and its impressive abilities. With a forward thinking, eco friendly approach, they have used solar power to power the components of their robot. They’ll be demonstrating their driving expertise and explain how they programmed the robot to operate autonomously - aiming to spark interest in robotics and coding among young learners.
