TeraBridges Robotics Workshop: Build and Code: Robot Competition (3rd-5th Graders) In-Person
This program is for kids from 3rd-5th grade in middle school who show an interest in robotics and are passionate about STEM. Kids will work in groups to design, build, and code a robot to complete a series of challenges using the VEX GO robot kits. Members from competitive robotics teams will help groups complete the challenges, as well as introduce them to FIRST, an organization that empowers STEM education and holds robotics competitions nationwide.
Details:
- Robotics kits containing all required parts will be used, and the participants will be guided on how these kits work and how to build a robot with them (this means anyone, regardless of skill level or experience, can participate!)
- The robots will be programmed using block code (similar to Scratch)
- Students from FIRST Tech Challenge team 18603, TeraBridges, will assist the groups in designing, building, and coding the robot
